Scott Moon Productions LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Scott Moon Books. This policy describes how we handle personal information through scottmoonbooks.com and our newsletter signup forms and landing pages that link to this policy.
Information we collect
When you subscribe, request a free story, or contact us, we collect your email address, your name if provided, your selected book or project interests, and information you include in your message.
We also maintain subscription records, including signup and confirmation dates, subscription status, and unsubscribe requests.
Our service providers may collect technical and activity information, such as IP addresses, browser and device information, website visits, and interactions with emails.

We use MailerLite to host our website and signup forms, manage subscriptions, deliver emails, and report newsletter engagement. MailerLite and its service providers process information to perform these services. MailerLite also describes security, compliance, and operational processing in its Privacy Policy.
We use BookFunnel to provide access to certain free stories and help readers download or read them. When you follow a BookFunnel link or request its assistance, its Privacy Policy applies.
Other providers may support our business email and website operations. We may also disclose information where legally required or reasonably necessary to investigate misuse or protect legal rights.
Website analytics and email tracking
Our main website uses MailerLite’s built-in visitor and signup reporting. Its Google Analytics and Meta Pixel settings are not configured, and MailerLite’s click-location tracking is disabled.
Our newsletters use email-open and link-click reporting. Open reporting uses a small tracking image; tracked links record clicks. These activities can be associated with your subscriber record. Settings can vary by email, and reporting is not always accurate because email applications may block or automatically load images.
We use this information to understand reader interests and improve our communications.
Advertising on the Red Vapor landing page
The separate page at redvapor.scottmoonbooks.com uses Meta Pixel tracking to measure visits and interactions with tracked Amazon book links.
It also uses Amazon Attribution links to help measure advertising results. These links may include campaign information and advertising click identifiers.
Meta may associate activity with other information it holds and use it for measurement and advertising under its policies. Amazon processes activity on its services under its own policies. These practices are separate from selling or renting our newsletter subscriber list.

Cookies and your choices
Our website, signup forms, and advertising services may use cookies or similar technologies to support functionality and measurement.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings and limit automatic image loading through your email application. These choices may affect functionality or reporting and may not prevent every type of data collection.
Unsubscribing stops future marketing emails from the relevant subscription; it does not automatically delete previously collected subscription or engagement records. You can contact us to request deletion.

Purchases through outside retailers are processed by those retailers. We do not receive your payment-card details from those purchases.
